April 19--The very unofficial and entirely unsanctioned holiday of April 20, or 4/20, doesn't arrive until tomorrow, but Rick Bayless is ready for your serious bout of the munchies. In his latest Taco Tuesday video, the acclaimed chef laughs hysterically, stares into the soul of an avocado, attempts to communicate with his own image on a package of Frontera merchandise and still has time to whip up a batch of bacon, potato, cheese and chicharron tacos.
In a short message with the post, he claims that people often think his "mellow enthusiasm" is a direct result of smoking weed. He denies this, claiming that "the truth is I never touch the stuff." He does, however, admit to coming of age in the '60s, so take from that what you will.
Personally, the taco looks like a big greasy mess, and I'd devour all of it -- no mind-altering substances required.
