Feb. 10--Plainfield native Melissa McCarthy returns to host "Saturday Night Live" this weekend, but it seems she's also trying to be the musical guest.
McCarthy, 45, raps with "SNL" cast member Vanessa Bayer in promos the show released Wednesday.
"Butterscotch man / tater tot yam / put it in my ham / butterscotch man," McCarthy sings when she gets confused about her favorite song by Kanye West, Saturday's musical guest.
This will be the South Side rapper's seventh performance on "SNL" and McCarthy's fourth hosting stint, according to NBC.
West's new album, which has been called "Swish" and "Waves," is expected to drop Thursday.
McCarthy's Chicago-set comedy "The Boss" is slated to premiere April 8.
"SNL" airs on NBC at 10:30 p.m.
