BRIEF: Watch Bill Murray's bizarre cameo on 'The Late Show'

March 14--Bill Murray was David Letterman's first guest on his "Late Night" show and among his last for "The Late Show."

Murray, who grew up in Wilmette, returned to the Ed Sullivan Theater to make a wordless cameo during "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert's monologue in Friday's show.

"Excuse me, um, excuse me, sir, would you mind getting your feet off the stage for a second? I'm sorry you look tired but this is not a park bench," Colbert told Murray, who appeared to be sleeping. Murray, who wore shorts and red socks, picked up a suit bag and was escorted out of the audience by his seatmate.

Murray, 65, voices a free-spirited bear in "The Jungle Book," due out April 15. He's also set to appear in the upcoming "Ghostbusters" reboot.

Colbert took over "The Late Show" in September. The show airs 10:35 p.m. weeknights on CBS.
