March 16--Chicago-area native Andrew Bird and Fiona Apple will debut their collaboration "Left Handed Kisses" in Wednesday's episode of Ellen DeGeneres' talk show.
The song appears on Bird's upcoming album "Are You Serious," due out April 1.
Bird, who grew up in Lake Bluff and attended Northwestern University, collaborated with the Squirrel Nut Zippers and fronted the band Bowl of Fire before focusing on a solo career.
"Ellen" airs 3 p.m. weekdays on WMAQ-Ch. 5.
