BRIEF: Vosges recalls 135 pounds of chocolate sold at Trader Joe's

Feb. 09--A Chicago chocolate company is recalling 135 pounds of uncured bacon ganache chocolate bars because of misbranding and undeclared allergens, the U.S. Agriculture Department's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Monday.

The bacon chocolate bars manufactured by Vosges were being sold in Trader Joe's stores in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, according to a news release. The product contains coconut, but doesn't declare that on the label.

In total, 720 bars, labeled as "Trader Joe's Uncured Bacon Ganache Bar," are being recalled. The bars have "EST. 34647" inside the USDA mark of inspection on the label.
