March 08--The public is invited to learn about volunteer opportunities in downtown Aurora and throughout the city Saturday.
The Riverfront Playhouse, 11 S. Water St. Mall, will be hosting a volunteer rally from 1 to 3 p.m. at its location near City Hall.
Community members are invited to learn about a variety of volunteer opportunities in downtown Aurora. Organizations are invited to send a representative as well as information about their volunteer opportunities in and near downtown Aurora.
Representatives from several local organizations will be speaking on behalf of their group and will have contact information available for attendees.
Participating groups include Aurora Downtown, Aurora Veterans Advisory Council, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Marie Community Garden Park, Rebuilding Together Aurora, Paramount Theatre, Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry, Humane Society of Aurora, SciTech Hands On Museum, Aurora Historical Society, and Volunteer Fox Valley.
The volunteer rally is organized by The Riverfront Playhouse and Culture Stock.
