Oct. 21--Doh! Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer Simpson on "The Simpsons," bought a retreat in Santa Barbara this summer for $3.05 million, public records show.
The remodeled single-story unit features ocean views, a wood-burning fireplace and new oak floors. The eat-in kitchen is equipped with a Viking gas range, stainless-steel appliances and custom alder cabinets.
The ground-floor condo, built in 2011, has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a half-bathroom and 2,689 square feet of living space. Sliding glass doors open to a covered patio with dining and lounging areas.
The development has a swimming pool.
Castellaneta, 57, has voiced numerous other characters on the long-running animated series, including Groundskeeper Willie and Krusty the Clown. He has a residence in the Los Angeles area.
The property previously sold a year ago for $2.4 million.
Olesya Thyne of Goodwin Thyne Properties handled the transaction.
