Oct. 02--Former Chicago Bears cornerback Jerry Azumah last week sold his three-bedroom, 4,060-square-foot town home in River North for $1.525 million.
Azumah, 38, retired from the Bears in 2006 after seven seasons with the team. Since retiring, Azumah has done some broadcasting work and also has co-founded a relocation service for athletes, coaches and sports executives.
In River North, Azumah paid $1.3 million in 2004 for the town home in the same development where actor Vince Vaughn recently sold a town home for $1.4 million. Built in 2001, the town home Azumah just sold has three full baths, two half baths, hardwood floors, a finished basement and a wet bar.
Azumah listed the town home in March for $1.699 million and later cut his asking price to $1.65 million and then to $1.599 million.
Azumah's listing agent, Susan Miner of Premier Relocation, previously told Elite Street that Azumah had listed the town home because he wants a single-family house with a yard.
