March 15--If you haven't been following along, the Minnesota Vikings have trying to the city of Minneapolis to rename a portion of the street where their new stadium will reside.
U.S. Bank Stadium sits on Chicago Avenue -- and, naturally, the Vikings are less than thrilled about calling home a street that reminds fans of the Chicago Bears, one of their NFC North rivals.
On Tuesday, Minneapolis' planning commission unanimously rejected the team's proposal to rename part of the downtown street "Vikings Way," the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports. The City Council could still approve the measure.
For now, chalk up one win against the Vikings, even if it's off the field.
