Dec. 21--Actress Alyson Hannigan of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fame has bought a house in Brentwood for $7.89 million.
The Traditional-style house is set on more than half an acre.
The formal entry opens to a living room with crown moldings, a stacked stone fireplace and hardwood floors. An expansive formal dining room leads to a kitchen with an oversized island that flows to a great room with a dining area and fireplace.
The den, with a library and fireplace, opens to patio space.

The 1,000-square-foot guest house has a living room, a library space, a combined kitchen and dining area, an office, one bedroom and two bathrooms.

A swimming pool, a spa, a gas fire pit and a conversation area complete the grounds.
Hannigan, 41, was a regular on "How I Met Your Mother" (2005-14). She'll star in the 2016 film "Modern Love."
