April 27--The USC basketball team will play Brigham Young as part of a basketball showcase at Staples Center next season.
Hoophall LA, organized by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, will also feature Arizona playing Gonzaga.
The event will be held on Dec. 3.
USC's inclusion provides an opportunity for a higher-profile game before the Pac-12 Conference season begins. For the last two seasons, UCLA has participated in a similar showcase, the CBS Sports Classic, which has included Kentucky, North Carolina and Ohio State.
Broadcast information has not been released.
BYU went 26-11 last season and lost in the semifinals of the National Invitation Tournament to Valparaiso.
