Jan. 09--USC tight end Randall Telfer and linebacker J.R. Tavai have been selected to play in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl on Jan. 17 at StubHub Center.
Telfer caught 21 passes, two for touchdowns, during the 2014 season, while Tavai made 53 tackles, including seven sacks, and forced three fumbles.
Former NFL coaches Mike Holmgren and Mike Martz will coach the teams.
Kickoff for the game, sponsored by the NFL Players Assn., is at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
In December, USC linebacker Hayes Pullard committed to participate in the Jan. 24 Senior Bowl.
