BRIEF: USC's Adoree' Jackson not satisfied with his kick-return performance

Oct. 28--USC's Adoree' Jackson earned a reputation as a dangerous kick-off return specialist as a freshman last season.

He returned two kick-offs for touchdowns, including one in the Holiday Bowl victory over Nebraska.

But Jackson is not happy with his performance this season.

Asked Wednesday where he felt his kick-return game was, he said, "Nowhere."

Jackson returned a kick-off 97 yards for an apparent touchdown against Stanford but it was nullified because of a penalty.

He is averaging 22.7 yards per return. His longest return was 40 yards.

"I haven't even got past the 50, I believe," he said. "I don't feel like I'm doing great kick-return wise."

Is the problem Jackson? Blocking? Where opponents are kicking the ball?

"It can be all aspects," he said.

USC plays California on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley.
