BRIEF: USC's Adoree' Jackson named to Hornung Award watchlist

July 06--USC's Adoree' Jackson is among 44 players named to the watchlist for the Paul Hornung Award, presented annually to college football's most versatile player.

As a freshman last season, Jackson started at cornerback and kick-returner and also played receiver. He also won the Pac-12 Conference title in the long jump in May.

Jackson is one of 11 sophomores on the watchlist.

A USC player has never won Hornung Award, which was first presented in 2010.

USC is scheduled to begin training camp on Aug. 8.

The Trojans are set to open the season Sept. 5 against Arkansas State.
