BRIEF: USC center Max Tuerk on Rimington Trophy watch list

May 20--USC's Max Tuerk is among 54 players on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy, presented annually to college football's top center.

Tuerk, 6 feet 6 and 285 pounds, will start at center for the second season after playing guard and tackle as a freshman and sophomore.

Tuerk, who came to USC from Santa Margarita High, was voted All-Pac-12 Conference last season by conference coaches.

Tuerk is the most experienced player on a Trojans offensive line that returns starters at every position.

A USC player has never won the Rimington Trophy. The award was established in 2000.
