March 21--Carriage negotiations between Univision and AT have yielded yet another extension.
The two sides have another 24 hours to work out a new distribution deal. The postponement keeps Univision's network and TV stations available to U-Verse customers until at least 5 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday.
The previous deadline was set to expire Monday at 5 p.m. ET.
Univision's other networks -- including UniMas and Galavision -- are not covered by the extension and continue to remain off the air.
Univision stations and networks were removed on March 4 from AT's U-Verse pay-TV system, which serves about 6 million homes nationwide. But soon after the blackout, the two media companies agreed to restore service for the main Univision network to allow Spanish-speaking viewers to watch the Univision-hosted Democratic debate.
Univision and its stations have remained on since then through several extensions.
