BRIEF: University of Iowa student from Glen Ellyn injured in Rome

Jan. 19--A University of Iowa student from Glen Ellyn has been seriously injured after a fall in Rome.

A posting on the university website says 20-year-old Andrew Mogni, of west suburban Glen Ellyn fell early Wednesday morning and suffered serious injuries. He is currently receiving medical care.

The posting says the fall is believed to have been an accident, but police continue to investigate.

Mogni had recently arrived in Italy for a semester abroad program at John Cabot University in Rome.

On Sunday, Mogni's parents and two brothers were in Rome and had been scheduled to attend a Mass near the John Cabot University campus there, according to an updated statement from the university.
