BRIEF: United waives fees for rescheduling of flights to Brussels

March 23--United Airlines said it's offering customers ticketed on flights to and from Brussels through Thursday additional flexibility to reschedule or change itineraries in the wake of deadly terrorist attacks.

The Chicago-based airline will waive change fees and any differences in fare for customers who rebook their travel to Brussels through April 1, subject to Brussels Zaventem International Airport reopening and flights resuming.

For customers wanting to postpone travel to Brussels until after April 1, and for customers wanting to fly to a new destination, United will waive the change fee. A difference in fare may apply.

Rescheduled travel must be completed within one year of the date when the original ticket was issued.

Customers ticketed on canceled flights may receive a refund.

United said it was canceling two flights scheduled to depart for Brussels on Tuesday evening, one from Washington Dulles International Airport and one from Newark Liberty.
