BRIEF: Unilever leaving Lisle, moving food business to N.J. headquarters

Feb. 12--Unilever, the company behind Axe body spray and Ben Jerry's ice cream, plans to close the North American headquarters of its food solutions business in Lisle and relocate it to Englewood Cliffs, N.J.

Jaime Stein, a company spokeswoman, confirmed the planned closing of the office, where about 125 people work, but declined to specify a time frame. A source familiar with the company's plans said the move would take place this summer.

Unilever's food segment makes a number of well-known brands, including Hellman's, Knorr, Breyers, Country Crock and Klondike.

Unilever's U.S. headquarters is in Englewood Cliffs. The company's global headquarters is in London.
