BRIEF: Um, did Kevin Durant just hint at a possible move to the Wizards?

Oct. 27--Kevin Durant has become an NBA superstar in Oklahoma City. But he has also kept close ties to his hometown, the Washington, D.C., area.

Wizard fans have hoped the reigning league MVP might decide to return to those roots when he becomes a free agent in 2016, just like LeBron James did this summer when he opted to leave Miami to go back to Cleveland.

Sounds pretty farfetched.

Or does it?

Maybe not, after a Twitter exchange Monday morning between Durant, who has spent his entire pro career with the Seattle SuperSonics/Oklahoma City Thunder organization, and ESPN reporter Brit McHenry.

McHenry sent out a tweet with references to Prince George's County, Md., where Durant grew up; Montrose Christian Academy, a Rockville, Md., high school where Durant played; and a D.C./Maryland/Virginia hashtag:

"Watched the LeBron Beats commercial more than I'd like to admit. Would love it more if it was @KDTrey5 back in PG Montrose Christian #dmv"

Durant tweeted a four-word response an hour later:

"just wait on it"

Uh, yeah. Pretty sure the folks in D.C. are going to have a really hard time doing that after a tweet like that.
