Dec. 27--Authorities are seeking a man who robbed a bank in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood Friday afternoon.

The robbery happened at 4:54 p.m. at the PNC branch at 2100 W. Chicago Ave., according to the FBI.

The robber, a white man in his 30s between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall, also is suspected in an attempted bank robbery on Dec. 5 at the Chase branch at 1959 W. Division St., in the East Ukrainian Village neighborhood, the FBI said.

During the attempted robbery, the suspect was wearing a dark colored coat, brown scarf, dark colored hat and glasses. He sported a "five o'clock shadow,'' the FBI said.

Anyone with information should contact the FBI at 312-421-6700.
