BRIEF: Tyson recalls chicken wings on 'off odor,' some customer illnesses

Nov. 17--Tyson Foods is recalling buffalo-style chicken wings after some customers complained of an "off-odor" and reported "mild" illnesses, the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service said Tuesday.

The recall includes 52,486 pounds of frozen "Tyson Any'tizers Fully Cooked Hot Wings" produced on Oct. 24 and Oct. 25 of this year, with sell-by dates of Oct. 24 and Oct. 25, 2016. They will have the code "P-13456" inside the USDA mark of inspection and on the back of the bag above the heating instructions. They were distributed to retailers nationwide.

Consumers should either throw the wings away or return them to the store, the USDA said.
