April 28--Four people were wounded in shootings Monday morning and afternoon across the South and West sides of Chicago.
The first shooting happened about 9:20 a.m. in the 11700 block of South State Street.
A 51-year-old was shot in the back and a 41-year-old man was shot in the right arm, authorities said.
The older man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition. The younger man was taken to Roseland Hospital in good condition, police said.
The two were in a car, with two others, when two young men fired at the car from an alley, police said.
The two shooters -- a 21-year-old man and a 23-year-old man -- were taken into custody, police said.
Later, about 12:40 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in the 4400 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue in the Bronzeville neighborhood.
He was in a car when someone in a black car pulled alongside and started shooting, police said. He suffered two wounds -- to the shoulder and neck -- and was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in stable condition.
Another man, 24, was shot in the leg in the Roseland neighborhood about 2:15 p.m., police said. He was seated in a car in the 600 block of East 103rd Street when someone got in, demanded money and then shot him in the leg before fleeing.
The 24-year-od was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where his condition had been stabilized.
