April 04--Two people were wounded in West and North side shootings since 7 a.m. Monday, according to authorities.
A 28-year-old man is in good condition after being shot in the Humboldt Park neighborhood Monday morning, police said. He was outside in the 1300 block of North Rockwell Street at 7 a.m. when he heard gunfire and realized he had been shot in the calf. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
Most recently, a 22-year-old was shot in the Buena Park neighborhood about 10:20 a.m. He was in the 900 block of West Buena Avenue when two men approached on foot and shot him in the chest. He's in critical condition at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said.
