April 11--Two people were hospitalized after an early Sunday shooting in Barrington.
Police responded about 3:10 a.m. to a reported shooting near U.S. Route 14 and Shorley Drive, where officers found two victims, according to a news release from Barrington police.
Paramedics took the injured to a local hospital, according to police, who did not disclose the nature or extend of the injuries.
"This is an active investigation so the details that are being released are limited," Barrington police Chief David Dorn said via email.
Barrington police and the Cook County Major Case Assistance Team are investigating.
