BRIEF: Two-car crash at O'Hare leaves 4 injured

Jan. 19--Four people were hospitalized in a two-car accident at O'Hare International Airport early Monday morning, authorities said.

About 12:25 a.m., police and fire officials responded to a two-car crash on a service road at the airport, said Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Officer Amina Greer.

Two people were taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Another person was taken to Presence Resurrection Medical Center, and a fourth person was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Will Knight.

The four were all transported in serious-to-critical condition, Knight said, but police later said none of the injuries appeared life-threatening. A fifth person who was in the crash refused medical treatment on the scene, police said.

All four of those injured were "badged employees" but did not work for the city of Chicago, according to Karen Pride, a spokeswoman for the city's Department of Aviation. Department officials were not releasing details about the crash as of early Monday.
