BRIEF: Two arrested in deadly shooting at Santa Ana restaurant

March 04--Two men have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a Mexican steakhouse in Santa Ana, police said Wednesday.

Viyey Castaneda, 29, and Anastacio Castaneda Rios, 45, both of Santa Ana, have been booked on suspicion of murder in connection with the Monday morning melee inside the El Zocalo Mexican Grill and Seafood restaurant that left one man dead and customers running for cover.

Police said the two men were part of a group that got into an argument with another group inside the men's bathroom when someone pulled out a handgun and started shooting.

Three people were hit, including Jose De Jesus Mendoza Maria, 32, of Los Angeles, who died. As the crowd fled from the gunshots, Castaneda ran out with them, Santa Ana police said.

But security guards caught and held him until police arrived. Castaneda is in the hospital because of the injuries he received while being subdued by security, police said.

Rios is being held on $1-million bail and is due in court Thursday.
