BRIEF: TV stars from Chicago area suffer late-term miscarriage

Oct. 09--TV stars Zach Gilford and Kiele Sanchez, who both hail from the Chicago area, suffered a late-term miscarriage, their representative told People magazine Friday.

The couple, who married in 2012, were expecting their first child, a baby boy, in early November.

"We regretfully confirm that Zach Gilford and Kiele Sanchez recently lost their child to a late-term miscarriage," the rep told People. "No additional details will be made available. We thank everyone in advance for their sensitivity and discretion during this difficult time."

Gilford, 33, attended Evanston Township High School and Northwestern University. He starred in the TV show "Friday Night Lights" and is set to appear in the upcoming ABC show "The Family."

Sanchez, 37, attended Glenbard North High School in Carol Stream and starred on "Lost." The second season of her DirecTV series "Kingdom" is set to premiere Wednesday.

Gilford said the couple met while filming a TV pilot in Chicago and he proposed at City Hall.
