BRIEF: Trial of brothers starts in Burr Oak Cemetery scandal

Jan. 29--The Chicago Tribune Media Group's Southtown Star reports: Tensions ran high Wednesday in a Cook County courtroom as attorneys delivered their opening statements in the trial of two brothers accused of dismembering and moving bodies at historic Burr Oaks Cemetery in Alsip.

Keith and Terrence Nicks sat quietly as prosecutors Eric Leafblad and Nick Trutenko raised many objections to the opening remarks by attorney Tony Peraica, who represents Keith Nicks, including that Peraica falsely told jurors that his client had no criminal record.
