BRIEF: Tre Madden expected to be available for Trojans against Arizona State

Sept. 24--USC tailback Tre Madden is on track to play Saturday night against Arizona State, while the availability of cornerback Kevon Seymour and lineman Antwaun Woods will be determined in the next 48 hours, Coach Steve Sarkisian said Thursday.

The Trojans can travel with 70 players for the Pac-12 Conference South Division game at Sun Devil Stadium.

Madden suffered a calf strain during last week's 41-31 loss to Stanford. He was limited this week in practice but Sarkisian said he would be ready to play against the Sun Devils.

"I feel very confident he'll play," Sarkisian said after Thursday's closed practice.

Seymour sat out against Stanford after suffering a knee injury against Idaho. The senior was limited in practice.

"We still have over 48 hours to kickoff, so we'll continue to try and get him right and ready to go, if nothing else, have him available in an emergency role," Sarkisian said.

Woods, who is nursing a shoulder injury, could have a similar role on Saturday.

"Just to have him for some amount of time ... would be great," Sarkisian said.
