BRIEF: Top male runner withdraws from Chicago Marathon

Sept. 25--The top runner in the men's field for the Oct. 11 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, Tsegaye Kebede of Ethiopia, has withdrawn because of an injury.

Kebede win the race in 2012 and was runner-up in 2010.

Kenya's Sammy Kitwara becomes the favorite in Kebede's absence. Kitwara has moved one step closer to the top of the podium each of the past three years -- fourth in 2012, third in 2013, second in 2014 with a personal best 2:04.28, making him the fastest man in the 2015 field.
