BRIEF: 'Top Chef Masters' winner Floyd Cardoz dinner, book signing at Sepia

April 12--Private Dining by Sepia will host famed chef Floyd Cardoz at a dinner and cookbook signing Thursday, April 14.

Cardoz, winner of Season 3 of "Top Chef Masters," was the chef behind Tabla, the fine-dining Indian restaurant that had a 13-year run in New York. He then was opening chef and partner at New York's North End Grill and currently is working on Paowalla restaurant, opening this summer, also in New York.

Fun fact for you film buffs: All that fabulous-looking Indian food featured in "The Hundred-Foot Journey" was created by Cardoz.

Cardoz is in town to promote his cookbook, "Floyd Cardoz: Flavorwalla," which was released April 5. He'll be signing copies, while Sepia executive chef Andrew Zimmerman cooks a four-course dinner from the cookbook.

$125, includes the cookbook (but not tax or tip). 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Private Dining by Sepia, 135 N. Jefferson St. Reserve by calling 312-441-1920.
