BRIEF: Top blind sprinter going for double-gold at world championships

Oct. 27--There wasn't much question about David Brown's expectations for the 2015 Paralympic world championships.

"Double gold," he said.

The fastest blind sprinter in history made good on half of that goal last week with a victory in the 100 meters and will go for the rest on Wednesday in the 200.

The Missouri native and his sighted guide, Jerome Avery, arrived in Doha, Qatar, as the favored duo in the sprints.

"There's no limit to how fast I can go and no limit to what I can do," Brown said.

The championships are scheduled to continue through Saturday.
