BRIEF: Tony Snell to start over Doug McDermott tonight for Bulls

Oct. 08--Fred Hoiberg changed his mind and will start Tony Snell again at small forward for Thursday's exhibition against the Nuggets.

But that doesn't mean the Bulls coach doesn't want to see Doug McDermott any less aggressive coming off the bench.

"We want to see him build off that first game," Hoiberg said after shootaround on the University of Colorado. "I loved the fact he kept shooting after going 0-for-5 in that first half (Tuesday night). Having a 23-point half should be really good for his confidence."

The Bulls will start E'Twaun Moore, Jimmy Butler, Nikola Mirotic and Joakim Noah alongside Snell. Pau Gasol and Taj Gibson again will be held out, while Kirk Hinrich will play after sitting out the exhibition opener as a precaution with a minor toe issue.

McDermott said he hopes to contribute in other areas beyond scoring against the Nuggets.

"I want to get better defensively," McDermott said.

The Bulls conclude this two-game trip on Saturday against the Timberwolves in another neutral site game in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
