BRIEF: 'Togetherness' creator Jay Duplass changes spots in Eagle Rock

Jan. 23--Actor-director Jay Duplass, whose new HBO comedy "Togetherness" chronicles the life of two couples in Eagle Rock, has put his home in the L.A. neighborhood on the market for $1.088 million.

Built in the 1920s and since renovated, the Craftsman Bungalow-style home is distinguished by sloping eaves, a wide porch and picture windows. A living room with a wood-burning fireplace, an updated kitchen with checkerboard tile, a dining room, three bedrooms and 2.75 bathrooms are contained in 1,730 square feet of living space.

French doors open to a paver patio and a large expanse of grass. Elsewhere is a one-car garage and a guesthouse complete with a kitchenette and full bathroom.

Duplass paid $785,000 for the home in 2008, records show. He purchased another home in the Eagle Rock area in December.

Karen Lower, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, is the listing agent.

Duplass, 41, is known for the comedy-drama films "Cyrus" (2010) and "Jeff, Who Lives at Home" (2011) as well as the Amazon Studios comedy "Transparent." He is the brother of actor Mark Duplass.
