Jan. 10--A 47-year-old Tinley Park woman died Thursday after an early morning crash in an unincorporated area near the south suburb, officials said.
The accident took place at 7 a.m. on 175th Street just east of Brennan Highway, said a spokeswoman for the Cook County Sheriff's Office.
The victim was identified as Tonya Moore by the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The crash occurred after Moore lost control of her vehicle and crashed into another, the sheriff's spokeswoman said.
Moore and the other driver were taken to Advocate South Suburban Hospital, where Moore was pronounced dead, according to the sheriff's office. The other driver suffered injuries that weren't life-threatening.
Officials could not say what caused the crash. It is still under investigation.
