Nov. 20--Police are searching for a man who attempted to rob a TCF Bank on Wednesday afternoon in Tinley Park.
The attempted robbery occurred about 4:30 p.m. at the TCF Bank within the Jewel at 17117 Harlem Ave., Tinley Park Police Chief Steve Neubauer said. No money was taken.
No injuries were reported, Neubauer said. The case was turned over to the FBI, he said.
FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde had no further details but provided a link to BanditTrackerChicago.com, which has a photo and description of the suspect.
The suspect is believed to be in his late 20s, is approximately 5 feet 8 inches, and was wearing a black hat and black jacket, according to the site.
