BRIEF: Tinder creates business networking app with Forbes

Aug. 06--Users who swipe right on a new app developed by Tinder could get matched with someone on the Forbes "30 Under 30" list.

Tinder has partnered with Forbes Media to develop a business networking app, bringing its swiping software to LinkedIn-type services detailing professional credentials, said Forbes in a statement Wednesday.

But the app isn't for everyone: You've got to be on the Forbes "30 Under 30" list, which includes 2,000 members, to get it.

The app marks Tinder's first time bringing its wildly popular swiping interface to another company.

"Tinder connects tens of millions of people every day, and it's exciting to see our technology used for business networking," said Sean Rad, Tinder cofounder and president, in a Forbes statement. He landed a spot in the "30 Under 30" list last year for his innovation building up Tinder, based in West Hollywood, which claimed to make 4 million matches a day.

Forbes said its new app, called "Forbes Under 30," is the first product of an initiative to create niche apps in-house. It had its launch party in San Francisco Wednesday and will officially debut at the Forbes Under 30 Summit in Philadelphia this October.
