BRIEF: Timothy Edward Kane to star in Court's 'One Man, Two Guvnors'

March 01--Court Theatre has announced casting for the Chicago premiere of Richard Bean's "One Man, Two Guvnors."

Starring as Francis Henshall, the role James Corden won a Tony Award for in 2012, is Timothy Edward Kane. Kane last appeared at Court in 2013, reprising his role in "An Iliad."

Completing the cast are Chaon Cross as Pauline Clench, Erik Hellman as Stanley Stubbers, Elizabeth Ledo as Rachael Crabbe, Hollis Resnik as Dolly, Alex Goodrich as Alan Dangle, Ross Lehman as Harry Dangle, Allen Gilmore as Lloyd Boateng, Francis Guinan as Charlie Clench and ensemble member Jed Feder. As previously announced, artistic director Charles Newell will direct.

Based on Carlo Goldoni's "The Servant of Two Masters" and featuring songs by Grant Olding, Bean's 60s musical update to a man juggling two bosses and a series of high jinks runs May 12 -- June 12 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Ave.
