April 15--Tiger Woods apparently did not suffer any serious injury from his nasty encounter with a tree root at the Masters.
Hitting from pine straw on the ninth hole at Augusta National, Woods struck the root mid-swing and reacted with a noticeable wince.
"A bone kind of popped out and the joint kind of went out of place," he explained. "But I put it back in."
On Wednesday, his agent told Bob Harig of ESPN.com that "the wrist is fine."
Recurring problems with a sore back forced Woods to take a break from the PGA Tour earlier this year. He played better than expected in his comeback at the Masters last week -- finishing tied for 17th at 5-under -- then announced he would not be playing competitively again for a while.
It was not clear if his wrist injury would prevent him from practicing.
