BRIEF: Tiger Woods says he will keep grinding after missing cut in Phoenix

Jan. 30--It was an undaunted Tiger Woods who spoke to reporters Friday at the Phoenix Open after shooting the worst round of his career.

"Just keep fighting," he said. "Just keep grinding each and every shot. That's all I can do."

Woods needed 82 of those shots Friday to get around TPC Scottsdale. That left him at 13 over through two rounds of his first tournament this season.

Missing the cut, he will now head for Southern California and the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines next week.

Woods is looking to revive his career by changing his swing from steep to shallow and said he is getting caught between his old and new patterns.

"Still got some work to do," he said.

Daniel Berger and Martin Laird shared the lead at eight under through the afternoon in Phoenix.
