BRIEF: Ticketmaster erroneously posts Kanye West concert: 'This event no longer exists'

Oct. 02--Kanye West will not perform his 2008 album "808s and Heartbreak" at the United Center next month, a representative for the venue said in a statement to the Tribune Friday.

The rapper, who grew up in the Chicago area, was slated to appear at the United Center Nov. 9 at 8 p.m., according to a listing on ticketmaster.com Friday morning that no longer includes information about the event. "Sorry, but this event no longer exists in our database," is the message now on the Ticketmaster link.

"This morning, a show featuring Kanye West at the United Center was published to Ticketmaster. This information is incorrect as there are no current plans for a Kanye West show in Chicago," a United Center representative said in a statement.

Representatives for Ticketmaster and West did not immediately return Tribune requests for comment.

West performed the "808s" album in full last week in Los Angeles.
