BRIEF: Thursday's recap: Cubs 6, Mets 5

May 15--The summary

The Cubs rallied from a four-run deficit for a 6-5 victory to complete their first four-game sweep of the Mets at Wrigley Field since 1992. Dexter Fowler homered in the fourth and scored the winning run in the seventh on catcher Anthony Recker's passed ball.

At the plate

Jorge Soler started the Cubs' four-run fifth with an infield hit as they collected four of their six hits off Jonathan Niese in the inning.

On the mound

Travis Wood allowed three home runs, all solo shots. Justin Grimm struck out the side in the sixth with a blend of a sharp curve and 95 mph fastball.

In the field

Shortstop Starlin Castro ranged to his right before throwing across his body to retire Johnny Monell for the first out in the ninth.
