April 16--Three burglaries to motor vehicles took place April 11 in the same area of St. Charles, police officials reported April 15.
Police responded to three calls in the 4500 and 4700 blocks of Grandfield Drive, officials said in a news release. All of the burglaries occurred during the late evening and into the early hours of the morning, and involved vehicles left unsecured by their owners. Grandfield Drive is near Route 31 and Reserve Drive.
St. Charles police urge citizens to secure their vehicles and not leave any personal items in plain view. They ask that anyone with information about the incidents contact the police department or file information confidentially on the St. Charles Drug and Crime Tip Line online.
