Dec. 20--Three people were taken to a hospital Sunday morning after firefighters responded to a blaze that damaged a two-story brick apartment in Austin neighborhood, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Firefighters responded at about 10:30 a.m. to the building on the 4900 block of West Fulton Street.
Crews rescued two adults from the first floor and a third adult also was transported to a hospital, the fire department said.
Details on the injuries were not immediately released.
The fire significantly damaged the building.
Chicago police said the cause of the fire did not appear to be suspicious.
