March 27--Pasadena City College officials on Friday named three finalists to be the school's next president.
The campus' last leader, Mark W. Rocha, retired in August after nearly four years with the school. Rocha was heavily criticized by some faculty for his management style and for ignoring their input. He received more than $400,000 as part of his retirement settlement.
A nonprofit group later filed a lawsuit against the school for allegedly breaking state open meeting laws while negotiating the settlement.
The three finalists for the job are Patricia Hsieh, the president of San Diego Miramar College; Robert Miller, who is the school's interim president; and Rajen Vurdien, the president of Fullerton College.
The three will visit the campus in April to meet with students and staff.
It is unclear when a new president will be named.
