July 23--The Windsor (160 E. Huron St., 312-943-7777) will debut Thursday in Streeterville.
The latest from the 4 Star Restaurant Group (Crosby's Kitchen, Frasca Pizzeria Wine Bar, Remington's, et al.) will be something of a "grown-up" version of Crosby's Kitchen, according to corporate chef Todd Stein.
The lunch, dinner and weekend-brunch restaurant offers classic American dishes with slight twists. Small plates, for example, include "mac and cheese" made with spaetzle, fontina and bacon; the smoked trout dip is enlivened with Fresno chilies, and short ribs are done with a Korean-inspired soy-ginger marinade.
A rotisserie section offers chicken and pork chops daily; slow-roasted prime rib is available Friday to Sunday only. Brunch features include steak and eggs, crab Benedict and rotisserie-chicken hash.
