May 26--After a run of successful festival appearances, the Strokes have announced their first new record since 2013's "Comedown Machine."
"Future Present Past" is a four-track EP with three new songs -- "Drag Queen," "OBLIVIUS" and "Threat of Joy" -- and the second track sporting a remix by the band's Fab Moretti.
The EP is coming out on frontman Julian Casablancas' record label, Cult Records, on June 3. It's not up for streaming anywhere yet, but should debut on Cult's site sometime Thursday. Casablancas debuted the record on his SiriusXM show Thursday morning.
With the announcement, the band also released an extremely silly interview video in which they talk about almost everything except the record (with one darker note: Moretti said his girlfriend caught the Zika virus during travels to Brazil).
