Feb. 19--Additional cast members have been announced for the pre-Broadway Chicago production of "The SpongeBob Musical."
The newly announced members of the Bikini Bottom cast are Gavin Lee as Squidward, Nick Blaemire as Plankton, Danny Skinner as Patrick and ensemble members Juliane Godfrey, Jesse JP Johnson, Lauralyn McClelland and Allan K. Washington.
As previously announced, Ethan Slater will star as SpongeBob Squarepants with Lilli Cooper as his squirrely friend Sandy Cheeks.
The Broadway-bound musical with original music by the late David Bowie, Aerosmith, the Flaming Lips, John Legend, Cyndi Lauper and more iconic artists will be directed by Tina Landau and will feature choreography by Christopher Gattelli, book by Kyle Jarrow and music supervision by Tom Kitt.
"The SpongeBob Musical" begins performances June 7 and run through July 3 at the Oriental Theatre, 24 W. Randolph St.
