Oct. 27--"The Humans," the Stephen Karam play that premiered at American Theater Company in Chicago, is headed to Broadway, the producer Scott Rudin told the Tribune this weekend.
The intimate show would appear to be a good match for the Helen Hayes Theatre, although no venue has been announced."The Humans" is expected to open some time this spring.
An off-Broadway production of Karam's drama opened at the Roundabout Theatre in New York on Sunday night to rave reviews. In New York, the show was directed by Joe Mantello. The first (and separate) Chicago production was helmed by the late PJ Paparelli.
